Peachtree City Dnow 09
March 16, 2009
We were in Peachtree City, GA this past weekend for a county wide Dnow. We led worship last year at this event for the High Schoolers and this year we had the honor of playing for the Junior High students. A guy named Gabe Norris spoke for our sessions and his brother Chad spoke for the High School. Both of these guys were super coool. Gabe did a fantastic job laying the gospel out clearly for these students to respond to. Saturday night’s invitation consisted of Gabe saying, with no music or anything else going, “If you know you need Christ stand up.” In a room of 700 people this is a pretty intimidating thing to do, but after a few seconds of silence a girl on the front row stood up to thunderous applause! Her boldness was followed by students all over the room and it was awesome. Thanks for all the prayers as we have been traveling the past few months. We have a couple of more things to go before we get a little break. Hope everyone is doing great and drop me a line if I can pray for you in any way!!!
A Few Haiti Pics
March 10, 2009
I’m finally posting some pictures from our Haiti trip a few weeks ago. My wife is an amazing photographer and she took some really great shots while we were there. If you are looking for somewhere to get involved in the world look no further than Haiti. If you want to know what to do shoot me an email and I’ll plug you in with some cool people who are doing huge things in this little country! Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere with an 80% unemployment rate. Those who do work make on average about $2.50 a day. We visited several orphanages while we were there and saw the cutest kids ever. 1 in 5 children there don’t make it past their fifth birthday. They need the power of the gospel down there in a big way. If you are thinking about giving a big check to your church’s building fund tell your church to quit being such pampered babies and send the check to people who actually need it. Basketball courts and fancy new sanctuaries are the reason people all over the world are starving to death. 27 billion dollars in America last year went to new church buildings. That could have fed Haiti and then some. We as the church have to step up and put our money where our mouth is!!! I think our new slogan should be “Comfortable churches=Starving children.” Ok I’m done with my rant for today. Hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather.
One Weekend 09
March 10, 2009
We were in Arkansas this past weekend for One Weekend. Three churches in the area partnered up and put on the event. Adam spoke and did a fantastic job. The strongest man pound for pound in the world was there and he was impressive. We played an impromptu acoustic set after one of the sessions and melted some faces off with our acoustic rock show prowess. But overall the coolest thing by far was seeing the gospel responded to in the lives of students.
New Record
March 5, 2009
We are starting to track the new record on the 23 of this month!!! I’m fired up about it. We hope to have it done by the summer so if you would pray that everything runs smoothly that would be great. Also we leave for Little Rock tomorrow morning so keep us in your prayers as we travel. I’ll try and send some updates from Little Rock this weekend.

New Orleans
March 3, 2009
After FT Lauderdale Adam and myself were in New Orleans for a Mardi Gras retreat at Camp Living Waters. Forgot my camera so I have no video but this retreat was really cool. Adam really challenged the students to ask the hard questions about how much they value Christ. We flew out on Fat Tuesday so New Orleans was a mad house. We drove by the parades and decided to go to a movie instead. Good decision!
FBC Ft Lauderdale Dnow 09
March 3, 2009
We were in Ft Lauderdale Feb. 20-22 for a Dnow with Jeremy and the crew. Thanks to Nathan Mowery for riding along and being a great friend. This group is super cool!!! It is diverse and fun and really dove into what God was trying to teach us. The theme was notes and Jeremy asked the question, what kind of note are writing for the world to read with your life? We are doing summer camp with these folks this summer, and I can’t wait to hang out again.
